I went to Sexton Dental Clinic in Florence, SC to get new bridges across the top front part of my mouth, six in all. I had a consult with Dr Terry and was given color options.

It is extremely hard to determine color when looking at a fake tooth. I told him more than 20 times i wanted a white smile, my bridges looked a little gray. He chose a color for me and said it was the whitest i could get, so i agreed on the color, thinking he knew what was best since he was the professional. I had the impressions done and went back 5 weeks later for my new white porcelin bridges.

I was nervous and again asked if they would be white and was assured i would love them. I was not allowed to see them before they were cemented in. I was handed a mirror after they were put in and automaticly complained saying they looked greyish and to big. I was told the swelling in my mouth was the cause of this and i would love them as my mouth healed.

Two months later, they still look awful. They look fake, greyish and are not the right size. Many friends , family members and co-workers agree. I was basically told by Sexton Dental Clinic that it didnt matter and you get what you get.

So, I am stuck paying $6,000 for cosmetics that I hate.

Please reconsider your smile before you go to Sexton Dental Clinic. They do not care about the consumer, only the money!!!!!!!!

Monetary Loss: $6000.

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina

Really lady? You didn't look at the color?

We are suppose to believe that. You are dumb and liar

My sympathies go out to you.

I am not sure why you wanted bridges in this age where bridges are rarely done, and implants do not require any drilling on natural teeth.

Natural looking crowns and bridges require a lot of planning and preparation, plus some expensive lab bills. I spend hours just fabricating temporaries so I can be sure to meet patient expectations.

I don't understand why you thought you could get decent bridges done cheaply at some cheesy, high-volume clinic.

This sort of treatment demands a dentist who is really top-notch in his profession, not on relegated to work in a cheap clinic.

As I tell patients all the time, the most expensive dental work is that which is done incompetently, and requires doing a second time at the patient's expense to make it right. Guess you learned this lesson the hard way.

How can you people judge someone elses feelings about their work? Why would you even spend time doing it?
